The Region

If, in addition to the city, you want to know the surroundings (up to one hour away), you are in the right spot that allows you to travel for several very interesting areas.

Towards inland, we have the region of Douro. Good to visit by car, but also very peculiar if you go by train or by boat, up to Régua.

On the other hand, if you choose to head north and a little east, you will enjoy the beauty of Minho, Portugal’s greenest continental zone. There, the essential highlight goes to the Vinho Verde demarcated region, the Romanesque Route, the manors, etc..

Should you opt to move southwards, you will find the way to Coimbra, a set of attractions distributed near Aveiro, Mealhada, Caramulo, among others.
